Consorzio Europeo Rievocazioni Storiche
Europäische Vereinigung historischer Gruppen
Union of European Historical Companies
Association Européenne d'Évocation Historique
Consorcio Europeo de Evocaciones Históricas

The CERS is a free association of Historical Companies and events, born on 1997 to :

1.obtain full recognition for historical evocative manifestations as a precise cultural expression

2.protect companies in Europe working in the historical commemoration sector

3.offer the companies a greater possibility of exhibiting (performing) without having to resort to agents for intermediation

One of the main goals of the CERS is to find a real way to obtain Europen Contribution for Historical Re-enactments and for the development of Historical Itineraries, directed by re-enactors societies. Within the European territory a number of historical estates and natural sites are in a real need of safeguard.European Countries will be involved together in the protection of such such sites, considering them part of the common cultural European heritage. Promoting a common cultural European heritage will not mean homogenize the different actions, but will stimulate the creation of a network for the managing of different cultural identities of each Country.

The CERS is looking for :

1) creating a "European network" for the identification and safeguard of historical civil and military sites. The network will help to co-ordinate and manage the different activities, in particular the promotion of utilisation of such sites, through the actions as Living History and re-enactments.

2) Activate in each site a system of Itinerant Living Museums with a private-public management, including archives, exhibition areas, living history spots, libraries which can provide to visitors a deep knowledge of the sites.

In this way an intercultural dialog among cultures of Europe and third Countries should be achieved.
